I self-published my first book for my children. The story of Grandma saving a bumble bee is a true story, it happened during the summer of 2020 when we were allowed to have family visit during the Covid19 lockdown. I’d turned the little experience into a bedtime story and was encouraged to make it into a book. I couldn’t find an illustrator that I liked so I chose to illustrate it myself. 

The book has been a great success for me personally. I met a life-long goal, completed what was a difficult project from draft to publish, and my children absolutely love it. I’ve been told my friends and colleagues that their own child has the book, read it, and wanted to read it over and over and not let go. That is an amazing feeling to hear and I am so proud that my little story can bring joy to so many people.

I’ll write an release more books as and when I can find the time. The 12 days of Christmas book came about because I was asked why Grandad wasn’t in the story, and it was Christmas time. I have a few more ideas lined up and hope to get a couple of books released every year. Check back often or sign up to my newsletter.
